Metabolic Balance® Weight Loss Program

Your natural metabolism may hold the key to your struggles with weight, food allergies, hormone imbalances, diabetes, or other health concerns. Metabolic Balance is a scientifically proven, personalized nutrition program that helps you optimize your metabolism by eating the foods that work for your body and avoiding the foods that cause problems. In addition to promoting weight loss, Metabolic Balance helps our Barrie patients from Collingwood, Orillia, and nearby Ontario cities improve their overall health and live their best lives.

What is it?

Metabolic Balance is a 12-week nutrition plan that helps you reset and support your metabolism. The program is based on a detailed analysis of your blood, and accounts for:

  • Current medical conditions
  • Medications
  • Food preferences

To support you throughout the program, you will have access to our certified Metabolic Balance Coach.

Am I a candidate?

The Metabolic Balance program can help most adults who want to look and feel better by addressing a variety of concerns, including:

  • Weight management issues such as problems achieving and maintaining a healthy weight, being hungry all the time, and binge eating.
  • Food allergies which cause symptoms such as bloating, diarrhea, constipation, skin conditions, and inflammation.
  • Health problems such as diabetes, high blood pressure, joint pain, and hormone imbalances.

Getting Started

It’s easy to begin your journey to a healthier, happier life.

1. Meet with our Metabolic Balance Coach to review your health history. 

2. Have blood drawn and sent in for analysis. 

3. Meet with our Metabolic Balance Coach to review your blood report, personalized food list and nutrition plan.   

4. Start phase 1 of the plan! 

How It Works

The Metabolic Balance program involves the following four phases, which you will progress through with the support of your coach:

Phase 1. Preparation

Eliminating processed foods, alcohol, and caffeine and consuming specific, whole foods and plenty of water primes your body for absorption and improved digestion. The meals are intentionally light and simplified to give the digestive system a rest and prepare your body for the structured meal plan of the next phases.

Duration: 2 days

Phase 2. Strict Adjustment

Begin your personalized meal plan. You will focus on eating the specific food combinations and portion sizes as prescribed.

Duration: At least 2 weeks

Phase 3. Relaxed Conversion

Gradually add more variety to your diet by reintroducing foods outside the strict adjustment phase guidelines. To ensure you maintain metabolic balance, you will monitor how your body reacts to each new food. This phase includes the option of having “treat meals.”

Duration: Until you reach your target weight or health goals

Phase 4. Maintenance

You’re ready to take charge of your diet, eat what works for you (based on what you learned in phases 1 through 3), and experiment with new foods.

Duration: Lifelong
