How Much Does BOTOX Last & Answers to Other Common Injectable Questions

If you have an expressive face, you’re probably learning that it has an unexpected side effect—expression lines! But it doesn’t usually stop there; as you age, other wrinkles and folds join in thanks to dwindling collagen and elastin production, sun damage, and more. BOTOX Cosmetic® and dermal fillers reduce those wrinkles, giving you a more youthful and refreshed look.

You probably have many questions if you’re considering injectables like BOTOX and dermal fillers to rejuvenate or enhance your appearance. Our team answers some of the most common questions in this post to help you make a more informed decision.

How Long Does BOTOX Last?

Typically, the results from your first BOTOX treatment last around 3 to 4 months. You can schedule a touch-up treatment when your results begin to wear off. The durability of your results depends on the skill of your injector, the area treated, the amount of injectable used, and other factors. However, with repeated use, you may find that you can go longer between touch-up treatments.

How Much Does BOTOX Cost?

The total cost for your BOTOX session depends on the number of units needed and the area treated. At our spa, the price is $12 per unit of BOTOX. Your provider can discuss the cost, how many units of BOTOX you will need, and the expected results at your consultation.

How Long Do Lip Fillers Last?

Your lip fillers can last anywhere from 6 months to 1 year, depending on the lip filler you choose. Some fillers available at our spa include JUVÉDERM® VOLBELLA® and JUVÉDERM VOLIFT®. These fillers are specifically formulated to enhance your lips and can give you natural-looking results.

How Much Do Lip Fillers Cost?

The total cost of lip fillers can vary per individual and your lip goals. Below is the cost for treating the upper lip with

JUVÉDERM lip fillers:
1/3 Vial – $299
½ Vial – $399
Full Vial – $750

Many people find that 1 syringe for their upper and lower lip combined is plenty for the look they want. Our team will discuss how to choose the best lip filler for you and determine your total cost for the treatment.

Can You Get BOTOX or Fillers When Pregnant?

It’s best to wait until you have given birth and finished breastfeeding before getting injectable treatments. Although BOTOX and JUVEDERM are approved by Health Canada and considered safe, we don’t have enough data to determine if they are safe during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Do Lip Fillers Hurt?

Most people find lip injections very tolerable, and some say they are relatively painless. Depending on where the injections are made, you might feel a pinch or stinging sensation when your provider administers the injection. JUVÉDERM fillers contain lidocaine to minimize discomfort, and most people don’t typically need any other anesthetic during the treatment. After your treatment, you may notice some mild swelling and redness, but that should subside within a few days.

Can You Combine BOTOX and Injectable Fillers in One Treatment?

BOTOX and injectables such as JUVÉDERM complement each other beautifully, improving expression lines and adding volume to the face for a nonsurgical alternative to a facelift. We offer Soft Lift and LUMINA LIFT procedures at Spa Lumina, combining BOTOX and JUVÉDERM for total facial rejuvenation.

Men and women enjoy excellent results with BOTOX, injectable fillers, or a combination of both. To learn more about how these treatments can help you achieve a refreshed, more vibrant look, contact us online or call us at (705) 721-7775 to schedule an appointment.
